My philosophy is simple: I believe what we consume is everything—from the foods we put in our body, to the ideas we feed for our minds, to the connections we have with others. Everything gives you energy, and what you take in determines how your life will be. My goal is to champion a healthy lifestyle that is simple, accessible, and gives your body what it needs to fuel your best life possible.

In a large saute pan, over medium-high heat, add a little bit of olive oil and ground beef. Cook ground beef, breaking it up, until it is well browned and cooked through. Drain off any remaining fat. Add in onions, bell peppers and celery. Saute until veggies are softened, about 5-6 minutes. Season with salt and pepper. Add in ketchup, hot sauce, worcestershire and a little bit of water. Stir to combine. Cover and let simmer for 20-30 minutes over low heat. Fill buns and serve.
Plant-based: Swap ground beef for canned brown or green lentils. Make sure the worcestershire sauce is vegan, many brands contain anchovy.
Gluten-free: Use your favorite gluten-free bun.
Add spice: Use extra spicy hot sauce or add pickled jalapenos to your sandwich.
